 Wahoo are one of fastest swimmers in the seas and can obtain speeds up to 50 mph. The Wahoo's first dorsal fin is long, with its second dorsal fin being much shorter in comparison. The Wahoo is a brilliant electric blue color, in life, with bright vertical bands sometimes called Tiger stripes running down the flanks of the body. The Wahoo's belly is silver. The Wahoo's flesh is fine grained, sweet, and tasty. The largest fish caught on record in 1991 was 155lb. 8oz. and was caught in the Bahamas. |
